The Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, has commenced activities marking his one-year anniversary in office with a Free Health Outreach for residents of the Local Government.
The health outreach, which took place at the Council Secretariat on Monday, 24th August 2026, attracted thousands of residents who benefited from free medical consultations, medical tests, medications and other essential healthcare services.
The three-day anniversary programme is designed to provide the administration with an opportunity to render an account of its stewardship to the people and highlight the achievements recorded in various sectors since assumption of office.
Within his first year in office, the administration of Hon. Akindipe has recorded notable interventions in infrastructure, healthcare, youth development, environmental sanitation and other areas of community development.


Speaking at the outreach, the Executive Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to implementing people-oriented programmes and projects that directly improve the lives of residents. He emphasised the importance of accessible healthcare and assured residents that his administration would continue to prioritise the health and wellbeing of the people.
According to the Chairman, the Council is committed to investing significantly in healthcare delivery to ensure that residents have access to quality and affordable health services. He noted that good health remains fundamental to the development and prosperity of any community.


Hon. Akindipe also stated that the health outreach forms part of his administration’s commitment to cushioning the effects of economic challenges on residents, in line with the broader objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.
He urged residents to continue to support his administration, assuring them that more people-centred programmes and developmental projects would be implemented. He further disclosed that six major projects would be commissioned on Wednesday as part of activities marking the anniversary.

Also speaking at the event, Hon. Subar Oluwa, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun Constituency II, commended the Executive Chairman for his people-oriented programmes and projects. He encouraged the Chairman to sustain the momentum and continue to deliver initiatives that would positively impact the people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun.
The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the Executive Chairman for providing the free healthcare services and commended the administration for its commitment to improving the welfare of residents.
