Geographical and Historical Background

Ajeromi-Ifelodun, commonly referred to as Ajegunle, lies within the Lagos Mainland area. Its history dates back to the 19th century, when early settlers established communities along the boundaries of Apapa, Surulere, and Ifelodun LCDA.

Despite being one of the smallest LGAs by landmass, Ajeromi-Ifelodun stands tall as a melting pot of ethnicities, rich in cultural heritage and human potential.
