AJEROMI IFELODUN LGA RECORDS MASSIVE COMMUNITY COMPLIANCE IN SECOND EDITION OF REINTRODUCED ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE

June 18, 2026

Residents of Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area did not let the festive season dampen their spirit as they turned out in large numbers to participate in this month’s Environmental Sanitation Exercise.

The Executive Chairman, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, led the monitoring exercise across the LGA and commended the community for their outstanding compliance.

The exercise began at the council secretariat, with the Chairman and his team trekking all the way to Boundary, clearing refuse and dirt from the streets. Hon. Akindipe also procured nine compactors — one for each ward in the council — alongside other materials to support the exercise. He distributed sacks, nose masks, and waste disposal nylon bags to residents.

Honourable Councillors and Supervisors echoed the Chairman’s efforts, remaining in their respective wards to monitor the exercise and ensure full compliance.

The Chairman used the opportunity to reaffirm his administration’s commitment to a cleaner and healthier Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA.
“The importance of cleanliness cannot be overemphasized, and our government will continue to educate and inform the community about the benefits of living in a clean environment,” he concluded.

The reintroduced Environmental Sanitation Exercise will now hold monthly, on the last Saturday of every month from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
