The Executive Chairman of Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, hosted Christians and party members to a landmark Easter Fiesta on April 3, 2026, at the council secretariat.
Themed “Renewed Hope and Community Unity,” the event drew the largest crowd in the secretariat’s history, filling the venue beyond capacity. In attendance were prominent Christian leaders, political office holders, traditional rulers, and party faithful.
Speaking at the occasion, Apex Leader for Lagos West and GAC member Chief Rabiu Oluwa commended the chairman for an initiative that brought joy, smiles, and unity to the community. He urged attendees to continue supporting the ruling party and highlighted benefits families had received in just eight months of the current administration. Chief Oluwa assured residents of more dividends of democracy and encouraged them to prepare to vote for the ruling party in next year’s elections.
Hon. Akindipe told the gathering that local government chairmen in Lagos have been able to undertake numerous capital projects due to a significant increase in federal allocations. “The ongoing economic reforms have created opportunities for impactful community development,” he said.

He called on residents to vote for continuity, capacity, and performance, stating that the ruling party is ready to reach greater heights. Hon. Akindipe also urged states yet to feel the impact of the Renewed Hope economic reforms to ask their leaders how they are utilizing the increased federal allocations. He appealed to the people to maintain faith in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government, noting the administration’s commitment to tackling the country’s challenges.
