In keeping faith with his commitment to people-oriented governance, the Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, is once again demonstrating leadership rooted in compassion and impact. On Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, the Chairman will officially flag off the OUNJE AJEROMI Food Support & Cash Palliative Initiative, a transformative program designed to bring relief and dignity to the most vulnerable members of the community.
This bold initiative will directly reach 1,000 households across the local government, comprising 500 widows and 500 elderly citizens aged 65 and above. It is a practical step toward ensuring that no widow, no elder, and no vulnerable household is left behind in Ajeromi-Ifelodun.
Beyond providing food and financial aid, OUNJE AJEROMI represents a philosophy of governance that listens, acts, and delivers. It is a compassionate response to the economic realities facing many families today — a deliberate effort by the Akindipe administration to make governance tangible, not abstract.

Speaking on the vision behind the program, Hon. Akindipe emphasized that good governance must be felt at the grassroots, where real people live and struggle daily. He reiterated his belief that the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is alive in Ajeromi, and his administration remains determined to translate that agenda into visible community impact.
Through initiatives like OUNJE AJEROMI, Hon. Akindipe continues to bridge the gap between leadership and the people, making social welfare a living reality rather than a campaign promise. As the administration drives forward the Renewed Hope vision, it also reaffirms its commitment to sustaining progressive governance beyond 2025, building a legacy that extends into the future — because the journey to 2027 is about continuity, not a return to neglect.
With OUNJE AJEROMI, Ajeromi-Ifelodun is setting a new standard for local governance — one defined by empathy, accountability, and community renewal.
Signed,
Daniel Sylva Daniel
Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government
