Information and Communications Technology Department

The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Unit was created in all the Ministries of Lagos State in order to strengthen the functions of ICT professionals in line with global best practice, as it has become imperative to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ICT Officers in the State Public Service and thereby, drive the processes of Government Business to suit emerging trends in the world of ICT. The functions and responsibilities of ICT Units in all State Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), including the Local Governments (LG) as well as the Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) are as follow:

Ajegunle is a cosmopolitan city in Lagos State. The history of Ajegunle dates back to the 19th century. And it is interesting to know that the word Ajegunle which literally means This is where my wealth inhabit is a near boundary coinage adopted to represent the geographical land mass of the modern day Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government and Ifelodun LCDA in Lagos State. The irony of this is that Ajegunle community inside Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government has only 15 Streets!
