Traditional Institutions
Ajeromi-Ifelodun is made up of several towns and settlements, each governed by its own traditional ruler known as the Ba’ale. Prominent among them are Ba’ale Alayabiagba, Ba’ale Aiyetoro, Ba’ale Araromi, Ba’ale Dankaka, Ba’ale Tolu, Ba’ale Ibafon, Ba’ale Awodi-Ora, Ba’ale Onibaba, and Ba’ale Alakoto.
In addition to the Ba’ales, the traditional structure also includes Baloguns, Iyalodes, and other titled chiefs who serve as community leaders and custodians of cultural heritage, representing various ethnic and tribal groups within the local government.
